Since we are a family of limited means - and since we live in such a wonderful place - I enjoy "stay-cationing" in my own back yard. Once in a while I like to share a favorite place with you {just in case you're new to the area - or if you haven't discovered my favs}. Although this may seem like it, this is not a sponsored post.
This "Local Yocal" loves Thanksgiving Point!
I just spent the day at the farm area with my granddaughter & she enjoyed seeing pigs, horses, cows & bunnies. We got to pet a baby goat. Plus, she loved the pony ride. {There is an admission fee, but ages 2 & under are free - score!} They also have a hay maze at this time of the year.
I also ADORE the shopping! It's a great place to find unique gifts, pretty clothes, & beautiful stuff for the home.
If you've never seen the gardens, they are not to be missed - especially during the tulip festival. And you can rent Segways to scoot your way around. In the summer, it is fun to take the kids to the Children's Discovery Garden. Last time we were there, they had a fun {very tiny & shallow} stream for the kids to play in. I didn't think I'd EVER get my granddaughter to come home. Ha ha!
There's lots more, but one of my favorites is The Harvest Restaurant. The food is so delicious. Sometimes they have had a Saturday brunch in the past - which was to die for. We also had one of our wedding dinners there.
Thanksgiving Point also offers cooking classes & so much more.
