I HAVE A WONDERFUL GIVE-AWAY FOR YOU!
{Hang in there 'til the end for a chance win to a Mrs. Smith's pie
& a $50 Gift Card for Williams-Sonoma!}
I just hosted an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party
for my book club friends.
{PS - This is one of the funnest groups of people on the planet!}
Many thanks to Mrs. Smith's Pies
for providing the dessert for our dinner & sponsoring this
Williams-Sonoma giveaway.
We sampled the following pie flavors:
* Signature Deep Dish Dutch Apple with Caramel Sauce
* Signature Deep Dish Pumpkin Pie with Cream Cheese Icing
*Signature Deep Dish Cherry with Butter Fudge Sauce
{I checked with a lot of stores in my area & I could not find the
Signature Deep Dish Peach with Cream Cheese Icing -but I'm sure it would have been a big hit!}

The Dutch Apple & The Cherry tied as favorites
among "my girls". My personal favorite was the
Dutch Apple because it tasted the most home-made to me.

I customized the Cherry Pie by brushing the crust
with butter & topping it with sugar crystals before baking . . .
You can also "swirl" the toppings on your plate
under the pie slices for a gourmet look.

How fun! You still looked so stylish, despite the "ugly" Christmas sweater! I'd love to taste that Dutch Apple Pie :) And I always love Williams Sonoma cookie cutter sets or dishtowels. Merry Christmas, Michelle!!!
ReplyDeleteI "liked" the pie-lady's page! :)
ReplyDeleteFunnest? Most fun.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Friend for watching out for me. I do love good grammar & I don't mind being corrected when I'm wrong! Most fun probably does sound better, but according to dictionary.com, "funnest" is a word. "Funnest - (adjective) of or pertaining to fun, especially to social fun - as in 'the funnest game'."

I need the apple. Really, I do... I'm in charge of dessert for our family Christmas. If you say it's closest to homemade, then I'm in! xoxo jules
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I got sucked in to the WS website for a while there... but I think I'd use the certificate for Le Creuset Heritage Covered Casserole. That would be AMAZING. I also followed Mrs. Smith on "The Face" as my hubby calls it. Merry Christmas, my darling friend... only you would look stunning in an ugly Christmas sweater! jules

ReplyDeleteThe cream cheese pumpkin pie with cream cheese icing sounds very tempting!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, on my Christmas list this year is an asparagus pot from Williams & Sonoma. I always steam asparagus and have wanted one for a long time.
ReplyDeleteCherry ~ looks delish! I just got my WS catalog in the mail yesterday and noticed a fun pie maker (cherry in the photo), but I'd treat myself to the tartan plaid dinnerware - gorgeous!

I would try the Cherry Pie, yours looked so good! Also, you have a stylish group of friends. None of those sweaters were ugly. I've seen some pretty bad ones in my day.
ReplyDeletelaurie_pooh@yahoo.com
Hi Laurie, I agree! My friends looked good in their sweaters & I certainly didn't think they were successful at being "ugly".
DeleteMerry Christmas,
Michelle
