Today I'm sharing a
favorite recipe.
But, beware . . . this stuff is
really evil addictive!
The recipe is from my friend &
*Domestic Goddess* Cathy.
These are the ingredients you'll need . . .
Yummy Corn Treats
- 1 large bag of plain corn pops {one brand is Clover Club -Macy's grocery store carries these}
- 1 lb. butter {oh yeah that's what I said - 2 cups!}
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 5 Tbsp. water
Melt butter, then add sugar, corn syrup & water. Stir on medium heat until boiling well. Turn heat up to high. Cook, stirring constantly for about 3-5 minutes {at my altitude with my stove it was more like 6 minutes}. You'll know it's done when the color turns slightly brown or becomes tan instead of yellow. Put half the bag of corn pops & half the almonds in a large bowl. Pour half the sugar mixture over & stir. Spread out onto a buttered cookie sheet. Repeat for the other half of the ingredients.
Enjoy!
Yum! I think I have all the ingredients to make these.
