In between the laundry, the cleaning,
& the blogging,
I've been getting ready for
Nellie's Tea Party.
We're having all the little princesses
to an "afternoon tea" in our back yard.
I want bright, colorful decorations.
I'm using bright pink, lime green, turquoise, & orange.
Here are my latest projects . . .
Let's start with this cool mirror
that I got at the thrift store (D.I.) for $10.
- Sam follows me around & manages to get in most of my pictures! -
I just taped some paper to the front.
TIP: use masking tape - never clear tape
{don't ask how I know!} & tape as close to
the frame as possible.
Here are the products I used.
BTW, I almost always use a primer.
For the pendant banner,
I just picked some colorful fabrics that went together.
{Most of them are from Hobby Lobby & they were on sale!}
I cut the front & back pieces together so they would be
exactly the same size. Then I zig-zag stitched around
the edges. I then sewed all the triangles to some
paper party decoration . . . stuff.
I'm having lots of fun mixing polka dots, stripes,
& whatever else looks fun & whimsical.
Of course, I'll save all this stuff & use it over & over.
We're playing dress-up at the party, so I thought
the little girls might like looking at themselves
in the "Mirror, Mirror on the Wall".
I'm linking up to these great parties:
"Share Awesomeness! Thursdays" at The 36th Avenue
"Flaunt-it Friday" at Chic on a Shoestring
"Who's Got Talent" at Night Owl Crafting
So cute! I just love "homemade" parties. What great memories Miss Nellie will have.
ReplyDeleteHow much fun is that banner? Oh my goodness, you are going to have a fabulous party! Jules
ReplyDeleteLooks like it's going to a great party. Gorgeous decorations. Wish I had a little girl to throw tea parties for. Instead I'll be having a choo choo train party this year.
