We had such a fun activity
with the young women from church
and I can't resist sharing it with you!
The girls were divided into two teams
and issued a challenge to design a dress using . . .
you guessed it--TOILET PAPER!
I was so impressed by their amazing creations.
The dresses had some wonderful details.
And headpieces were not overlooked . . .
This design seemed to have a Grecian/"Lord of the Rings" type
of inspiration.
It was so fun &
I could almost hear Tim Gunn saying,
"Make it work designers!"
I'm so blessed by these darling girls.

That would be so much fun! And I am amazed at how cute they came out! I love the roses on the side!
ReplyDeletethat is awesome! that first one is absolutely stunning! too bad they can't be worn again - glad you took photos :)
ReplyDeleteMichelle,
ReplyDeletethanks so much for the sweet comment about our chalkboard refrigerator. I came over to your blog just to comment but stayed because of your awesome posts! :) I am completely jealous that you have knowledge on how to sew! I want to learn so badly. I love you $8 thrift store chair makeover. It looks perfect to me. :) And I wish I had one of those famous DI's in my city, but no such luck. :( Thanks so much for commenting, can't wait to see what you have posted next.
This is such a fun idea! I have to do this with my daughter just for fun over the summer!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely amazing what you can do with loo paper - the roses are terrific and it appears that you all had a great day!
ReplyDeleteI am sure that was actually really hard to put a dress together out of toilet paper.
ReplyDeleteThey did a GREAT job. super talented. creative.
Nothing "wasted" there.
That is some SERIOUS talent! I am incredibly impressed by that first dress especially.
ReplyDeleteThis is a super idea! I will pass it on to our YW.
ReplyDeleteI stumbled across your blog, and I was delighted to see this post! It reminded me of a birthday party I had when I was much younger where we used toilet paper to play "dress the bride." It was so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWe have about 28 girls in our ward who would love to do this, me included. I'm a new follower.
ReplyDeleteWow, those look great! I've had to make several of these for Bridal Showers (contests for prizes), and they never looked quite this amazing! Looks like those girls had a blast, what a fun memory. ;D
