Valentine's Day Decor

The best part
about a new holiday . . .
decorating!
Yipee!

For the smaller holidays,
sometimes I don't do much more than
the front porch & the entry way.

It's too cold to have any greenery on the
front porch at this time of the year,
so I fake it with this silk ivy.
For Valentine's decor,  I just added some
black, white, & red ribbons--
along with these little heart ornaments
from Walmart.
You may recognize this cream-colored door decoration
from Southern Living.
I made the little banner that says,
"I love you a bushel & a peck"
on my computer &
hot glued it on.
On the edges of the paper,  I used this chalk to "antique" it.
I LOVE this stuff & I use it on so many projects.

I love to decorate my entry way mirror for any occasion.
For Valentine's Day, I hung this vintage style banner . . .

Do you decorate for Valentine's day?

  1. Your front porch looks great. I don't usually decorate for Valentine's Day but now that I have a daughter I feel more inspired to get a little festive with the holiday all about love! Thanks so much for your comment on my chair redo, I really appreciate it!

  2. That looks so sweet and inviting! You know, I've really been thinking I want to do a Valentine's tree this year - a smaller white Christmas tree with vintage postcards and Valentines hung on it. But I'd have to find a white tree - maybe on sale after Christmas?

  5. I never decorated for valentines until I started to have little ones and now I feel like I have to. I think it's time to get all the red out.
