The Grinch Who FOUND Christmas - The Funnest Church Party Ever!

We just got home from such a fun Christmas party.

We all dressed as "Whos" from down in "Whoville" & I wanted to share the fun pictures with you!

Yours Truly with my sweet little granddaughter, Nellie

The Grinch was there & Cindy-Lou-Who, of course!

I couldn't believe the gravity-defying hairdos!
I heard that plastic cups were the secret!

"The Grinch" told a story with a spiritual message about how he found the true meaning Christmas through Christ.
The mayor of Whoville came too!

My sweet son with Nellie
 & his hilarious tights (below)!
(Can you see his hairy legs underneath??)

I think my darling friend, Heidi, likes to dress up in
costume even more than I do!

Everyone got their own polka-dot bib to wear
while eating their "roast beast" & "Who pudding"
Don't you love those crazy straws?

Adorable mother & daughter "Whos"
My friend, Drexel, (on the left) was the mastermind behind it all. Thanks, Drexel, for a fun-fulled & uplifting evening!

  8. Hi Michelle! I absolutely love your blog! Thank you for being willing to share. Our ward is doing a Grinch party this Christmas. I'm wondering if your ward had a program at all for your 'Grinch Who Found Christmas' party. If so, what was included in the program. Is there a script that you'd be willing to share? Thank you!

    1. Hi Tiffany, Great to hear from you & I'm so glad you like the party. We did have a short program where "The Grinch" delivered a story {or talk} as he walked around among us. I don't have the script, but he had written it himself & he delivered it in character. It was about how he discovered the true meaning of Christmas through Jesus Christ. It was great. Then we sang a few Christmas carols together like they do in the movie. It was seriously the best Christmas party I've ever attended. Hope that helps!

    2. Hi Michelle. This is Celia Smith, who used to live in your Sandy ward. Greg and I live in NYC now where Greg is the bishop of our ward and I'm in the RS. My RS pres saw your blog and this great idea for a Christmas party and shared it with us. When I saw your picture, I got so excited and exclaimed that I knew you!! My RS pres would like to know what kind of food you guys served at this darling party. Can you give me some ideas? We thought we would also center it around Pres Uchdorf's devotional talk he gave in 2010.

This is a great blog and it's great to "see" you and several members of the ward. Great memories! Hope to hear from you when you get a chance. My email address is celiahsmith@gmail.com.

    3. Hi Celia, How wonderful to hear from you! As I recall, the food fit in well with the story, "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas". We had "roast beast" {turkey & roast beef}, mashed potatoes, & some "Who pudding" {a layered jello salad served in clear cups}. I hope that helps! I also blogged about a Polar Express Party if you need an idea for next year.

      Love, Michelle

    1. Hi Krystal, Our Grinch was a guest speaker & I don't think he had a script! He just spoke from the heart without any notes. Sorry I can't be of more help! Good luck on your activity.

      Warmly, Michelle
