Thanksgiving Tablescape

Our table is set and ready
for Thanksgiving.

I was going for a
less traditional color scheme
this year,
but I did end up having to throw some
rust hues in at the very end!
(Too bland without them.)

I started by sewing my own
napkins & table runners.

I put the table runners across the table
crosswise instead of along the center
vertically.

BHG.com had the cutest idea where
they used pumpkins with monograms
for place cards.

GUESS WHAT . . .
I waited until after Halloween to
purchase the pumpkins & they
were NOWHERE to be found!

So, I found these fake pumpkins
at Hobby Lobby
(80% off) and, since I really wanted white,
I taped off the stems &
spray painted them.

(That's my curious little dog, Sam, in the background!)

I then just drew the monograms on with a
permanent marker.
(I wanted to try vinyl, but have I mentioned
I'm the only one without a Cricut???)

Each place setting also has a menu
courtesy of the brilliant
Stephanie Lynn

For the centerpiece,
I used a wreath with a candle in the center.

I hope you & your loved ones have
a wonderful & blessed Thanksgiving!

  1. Your tablescape looks beautiful! I love the fabric you used for the tablerunners. The good thing about those plastic pumpkins is now you can just reuse them every year (if you have the same people)! Happy Thanksgiving :)
