I often hear people talk about
their mother-in-law in . . .
er . . . a less than positive light.
But God must have known that I
needed a special woman to be
my mom-in-law--because that's what I got.
Mom & me before she became ill.
So when I heard about this dance tribute
called "I Believe She's Amazing",
I thought of Mom Lunt.
So, before you watch the dance video, I want to share
something very personal about Mom. She is dying
with something called Inflammatory Breast Cancer.
As in every other phase of life, she is showing
courage & grace.
Even as she struggles & suffers,
she continues to teach us--her children--SO MUCH.

Oh my goodness Michelle! I got teary eyed on this one. I am so close to my mom and can't imagine what you and she are going through! I have never heard of inflammatory breast cancer but I am going to go click on your link and find out! I am saying a prayer for her!

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that your mother-in-law is going through that. My mom passed away from cancer 12 years ago. It's not easy to watch the ones you love suffer through cancer.
The first video was so informative. I've heard of IBC, but didn't know much about it. That last video brought tears to my eyes. I'm sorry your mil is going through this. I'll be praying for her. Thank you for sharing this info.

ReplyDeleteYour post hit really close to home. My Grandmother lost her battle against breast cancer over a year ago. We miss her dearly. I truly believe only the STRONGEST people are given this awful trial in life. I can see that you mother in law is just that...a strong woman who can get through this. In my breast cancer circles we called it the "beast". IBC is the beast of all beasts. I followed a lady on a online breast cancer support group that had IBC. She was such an inspiration. She wrote a book about her journey. I purchased the book and let my Pastor use it to read. At the time my friend was suffering and dying from Lobular BC. Their journeys seemed parallel and I thought it would help him to minister to her. Unfortunately he moved away and I forgot to ask for it back. There really is not enough awareness regarding IBC. Good for you in using your blog to make others aware. Praying for supernatural healing.
